I love making cards to mark occasion, and what more special an occasion than a baby's first birthday? For this card I used:
- Papermilldirect Teal Plain Card
- Papermilldirect Hammered White Card
- Papermilldirect Plain White Card Blank
- Patterned paper
- Craft scrabble tiles
I started by gathering my supplies and found some patterned paper that co-ordinated perfectly with some of the Teal Papermilldirect card. I cut some elements out of this patterned paper, to act as embellishments.
I then cut my teal card to be my matting layer on the white card blank. On top of the teal layer went the patterned paper layer. I just love all these layers colours together!
I added foam tape to the back of the scrabble tile letters.
I then die cut a circle from the hammered white card and added the letters onto this circle. Before I stuck them down I stamped Happy Birthday on the circle.
I then added this circle onto the card and completed the card with the cut out elements from the patterned paper.
I love how this card turned out, fun and playful!
