Hello, Sylvia here with this week's design team make, an Autumnal card using beautiful rich colours and gorgeous gold leaves. My background was made using a large acrylic stamping block with distress inks and a spritz of water. I love this technique for quick backgrounds without too much mess. The gold leaves were over stamped with brown Archival ink, if stamping on the shiny card you need it needs to be left to dry completely or it will smudge, or try Stazon ink instead. The sentiment was stamped centrally so I could place the leaves as if they were falling and to hghlight the sentiment. The gold sandgrain card has a lovely dappled texture adding interest to the leaves.
Materials used:
- Papermilldirect card special offer gold sandgrain, white linen and feature card mocha brown
- Ranger distress inks reds, oranges, browns and yellow
- Ranger Archival inks black and sepia
- Inkylicious sentiment - Autumn second Spring
- Crafter's Companion leaves dies and stamps
- large acrylic block and spray bottle
