Hello,It's Nessa here and I have a Rustic Country Christmas card to share with you today,I am ging to show you step by step how I have made it,it is very simple ...
I used some Buff card and a woodgrain effect stamp to make my background,I inked all of the edges, then added some splatters of white acrylic paint to give the effect of snow..
I stamped my greeting out onto some White Smooth card and added a strip of hessian effect ribbon to my woodgrain panel, then stuck it onto a Cream Hammered card base...
I trimmed the greeting down and die cut some leaves from some Dark Green card using a Clearly Besotted die-the lovely Mulberry paper Poinsettia flowers came in a pack from my local craftstore ..
The flowers were pretty but I wanted to make them a little more"rustic"so I inked the edges with a gold ink pad-the die cut leaves were inked both with gold and silver ink for a frosty effect ...
The assembled card-there is lots of lovely texture on this card, from the paint on the wood effect background panel, the lovely Hessian effect ribbon and the Mulberry paper flowers ...
The faux Hessian ribbon has the same effect as standard Hessian but withoutt the bulk-it is available by the metre from The Ribbon Girl
The Mulberry flowers give a lovely 3D effect to the card ...
Hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial-it is a very simple card and you could easily mass produce this design,I think Organza Ribbon and some cream Poinsettia fowers would look lovely too-what do you think?
See you soon,
Happy Crafting!
