Hi bloggers, Barbara back today with a calendar page from the 2018 Papermilldirect calendar.
These are perfect for personalising with photos, stamping, & stencilling etc, to correspond with the month of the year.
I used a piece of white 'hopsack' 5" deep, by the complete width of the calendar.
This was inked with Distress Oxides, in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers & Lucky clover......then splashed with water to give a 'sea' effect.
I stamped some foliage, to represent seaweed, then stencilled the larger leaves & seahorse using Polyfilla. (if you use texture paste often, it becomes quite expensive....I always have a tub of ready-mixed Polyfilla to hand, it's just as good, but maybe not as smooth....it was perfect for what I needed it for though.)
I stencilled some bubbles using a stencil from Inkylicious, and filled them with Ranger, Glossy Accents.
I lightly brushed over the stencilling with an ink pad.
Because I knew the stencilling would add extra weight to the piece of hopsack, I mounted the whole piece onto black smooth card, then adhered to the calendar.
The 2019 Calendars will be available soon......I'm going to buy a few to personalise for my family, as gifts.
Don't miss them .......
Back soon with the July page,
Barbara x
