Good morning!
I love making shaped cards they are so fun and if you don't have a silhouette cutting machine you can use your normal dies.
The products I used are:
- Pale Turquoise Plain Card 240gsm
- White Card Super Smooth 300gsm
- New Lilac Smooth Card 240gsm
- Daffodil Yellow Smooth Card 240gsm
- Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
- Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm
You will also need:
- Stamp image of your choice
- Marker pens
- Heat gun
- White embossing powder
- Silhouette machine
- Sun die
- Sequins
To start with I used my silhouette machine to cut the shaped card using a piece of Pale Turquoise Plain Card 240gsm and folded this in half. This will be my card base. If you don't have a silhouette cutting machine you can use a shaped die. You will need to fold your card in half, choose what shape you would like and place the die on top of the card with the top part overlapping the card fold. Run this through your die cutting machine and you should have a shaped card. I then cut my card front on the silhouette using a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm.
After this is cut I adhered this together using some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then coloured in my image and cut this out.
The next step is to heat emboss your greeting I used a piece of New Lilac Smooth Card 240gsm and some white embossing powder. I then die cut a sun using some lovely bright Daffodil Yellow Smooth Card 240gsm. The image and greeting were then adhered with some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
To finish the card off I added some sequins and used Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.
I think its so exciting to make and receive shaped cards I hope you have as much fun as me making them.
