Good Morning Vic here today. I love to do my own thing when making cards and I don't really stick to 'rules' or 'guidelines' so I thought it would be fun to show you that you can use bright images on soft card colours.
The card making supplies used were:
- White Card Super Smooth 250gsm
- Nude Sirio Colour Card 290gsm
- Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm
- Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
You will also need:
- Critter Stamp (My Favorite Things)
- Hooray Die (My Favorite Things)
- Copic Markers
- Nuvo Drops
- Scoring Tool
For the card base I used a piece of Nude Sirio Colour Card 290gsm which I trimmed to 4 1/4" and scored at 5 7/8". I then trimmed down a smaller piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm. I wanted to have some embossed lines so using a scoring tool I made my own. Once this is completed I adhered this onto the card base with some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
Next I stamped my image onto some more White Card Super Smooth 250gsm and coloured him in with copic markers. I trimmed the image out and adhered onto the centre of the card using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
I then used some more Nude Sirio Colour Card 290gsm to die cut out the word hooray. I did this three times and adhered the words together using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml and gently adhered this to the card.
To finish the card off I added some nuvo drops but feel free to add anything you like.
I hope this card will inspire you to break the rules and just have fun when creating!
